Izmir, Çiçekliköy, Konak Square, Kordon, Clock Tower, Government Mansion, Germiyan Village, Barbaros Village, Korkuluk Festival, Bademler Village, Village Theater, Seferihisar, Sığacık, Kuşadası
On the 2nd Day of our Aegean Hidden Villages Tour in Alaçatı, Sığacık, Seferihisar, Foça, we arrive in beautiful Izmir with the first light of the day. To start the day fresh and energetically, we have our breakfast prepared for us in the greenery and natural environment of İzmir Çiçekli Village (Extra). After breakfast, we board our vehicle and, accompanied by our guide's narration, we visit Izmir Konak Square, Kordon, Clock Tower, Government Mansion, and Elevator. Next, we will visit Barbaros Village, the birthplace of the Korkuluk (Scarecrow) Festival, the first themed festival held in Turkey. You will be greeted by a monument at the entrance of Barbaros Village, which, despite being away from the sea, is not widely known. After our guide informs us about the importance of the monument and the 36 names inscribed on it, we start exploring the village's unique and natural state. As we stroll through the village with our valued guests, we witness how its extraordinary nature has served as a natural set for many television series. During our visit, we see the scarecrows that made the village famous and contributed to the festival held in its name. After taking pictures of the scarecrows exhibited around the village following the festival, we continue our journey to our next village. After a short drive, we arrive at Germiyan Village, the only Türkmen Village in İzmir's Çeşme district and the first village in Turkey to hold the Slow Food (Slow Food) title. As we wander through the streets of this village, you will see houses and streets painted with flower motifs. We capture the beauty of every house in photos and add new memories to our collection. After a series of short photo breaks in the village, we take a shopping break at the village square. Our recommendation during this break is to taste the mouthwatering sourdough bread and natural olive oil produced and sold by the villagers. After our short shopping break in the village square, we will visit Bademler Village, awarded the title of Turkey's Cleanest Village in 2012 after winning a competition held by the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization, and the first and only village theater in our country. Not only is Bademler Village one of the most unique villages in İzmir, but it has also gained fame for hosting Turkey's first and only village theater. As we explore this village, which you will fall more in love with as you learn about its other features, we will visit the Bademler Village Theater and the Musa Baran Children's Games Museum, which are among the places we will explore. After these visits, we will have free time at the village square. During this free time, you can relax at a village café or sample the special "Godalak" of Bademler Village. After our free time, we will head to Seferihisar, which earned the title of the first Cittaslow (Slow City) in Turkey in 2009 due to its commitment to preserving local architecture, traditions, and customs. After a pleasant journey, we arrive in Seferihisar and give free time for lunch (Extra). After lunch, we will head to Sığacık, where some film shoots have taken place. In Sığacık, we will walk around the Ottoman Castle built by Sultan Suleiman and explore the authentically preserved houses and streets in the inner castle. After thoroughly exploring our tranquil town of Seferihisar, we will head to our hotel for accommodation and dinner.
